The CADE Reef S2P is our new range of customisable rimless, sump filtered saltwater Peninsula Aquarium systems designed specifically for the advanced reef aquarist.

 

The S2P has been expertly crafted to enable the aquarist to build a truly personalised Reef Aquarium system without limitation. The Reef S2P combines functional design and unique sophistication to produce a system that both compliments contemporary home decor whilst fulfilling all your Reef keeping requirements. Designed in Australia, the CADE Reef S2P is the benchmark in Peninsula reefing with an unparalleled design and list of features. Our goal was to create the absolute perfect foundation to build your reef.

Reef S2P Tank

The CADE Reef S2P Tank is a rimless open top design constructed using high clarity flat polished Opti-Clear glass constructed using the highest quality German Whacker silicone. The CADE logo is laser etched within the front glass panel and serves as your guarantee of authenticity.

The S2P models are extra wide enabling the aquarist to create depth to their hardscape from all viewing angles with adequate room for coral growth and extension.

The CADE Reef S2P slimline glass Weir incorporates both surface and low-level water intakes enabling superior uptake of heavier suspended solids that fail to reach regular surface intakes on regular weirs and also serving as an emergency back-up should one intake become blocked. Behind the intake vents is a glass channel that diverts water and debris to the surface for efficient uptake into the drainage system.

Water is delivered to the sump via 2 drainpipes, a main down flow pipe and an additional emergency overflow pipe which allows drainage to the filter should the main pipe become blocked. The drainage system has been carefully designed to ensure it operates silently.

All tanks in the Reef ranges have a white laminate base making it perfect for aquarists that prefer a bare bottom reef or a thin layer of sand.

 

Reef S2 Cabinet

CADE Reef S2 cabinets are 900mm tall and are provided pre-assembled with the sump filter installed. Simply open the boxes, position the cabinet, rest the tank on top and screw your plumbing together.

CADE cabinets are constructed using materials that are 100% waterproof ensuring the cabinet will never swell, rust or deteriorate. Even the magnetic door closes are hidden inside the framework to prevent corrosion. The cabinet is powder coated to provide a perfect hardwearing finish unaffected by salt water corrosion.

The Controller management and power management areas on the S2P has several distinguishing features that sets it apart from both the Reef S2 and anything else on the market today. Upon opening the cabinet door we've installed a dedicated controller panel to neatly display all your aquarium device controllers. Behind the panel is a power management storage area for cables, power packs and back up batteries. We provide 2x power boards each containing 8x sockets with switches mounted directly to the controller panel.

All S2P models have large ventilated dry areas allocated for chillers, dosing vessels and general storage. We’ve also included a water feed tap for a chiller or Calcium reactor. An accessories shelf is also provided for placing items such as a dosing pump and general storage.

The tanks base is protected by a tank mat pre-installed to cabinet and we've also added caster feet for levelling out your Aquarium on uneven floors.

 

Filtration & Plumbing

CADE Reef S2 Sump filtration is a uniquely designed system that maximises space and provides versatility regardless of your filtration preferences. Water flow through the new S2P sump filter is a raceway format providing optimum flow through each chamber eliminating dead spots. The S2P filter incorporates a 2x2 filter sock chamber for mechanical filtration, a macro-Algae chamber (removable baffle) followed by the Protein Skimmer and reactor chambers. The biological and biochemical media chamber is equipped with flow-controlled media baskets for optimum contact time. Media baskets are removable for easy cleaning and exchange of expired media. Media baskets offset the need for additional reactors such as a carbon reactor saving space and expense. The return pump chamber is adequately sized to accommodate any of the high flow return pumps on the market today. Every S2P model has a high volume ATO reservoir which requires the addition of an Auto Top Off device (not supplied) to manage the replenishment of evaporated water.

CADE Reef S2P Plumbing is a prefabricated screw fit design that installs easily in minutes. The plumbing starts in the weir with 2x down flow pipes (main drain & emergency). The main is fitted with a newly designed fine tuning gate valve for silencing the weir. Return flow is via 2x 25mm 1" pipes with non-return valves neatly concealed within the weir. The plumbing system is extremely neat and designed to operate silently.

The CADE Reef S2P contains additional reactor and chiller water feed taps that allow the aquarist to use the main pumps outflow pressure to feed water to reactors or a chiller in the system. We provide each tap with the option of both hard plumbing connectivity or soft hose connection using a 19mm barbed hose fitting supplied unglued.
